ORANGE FROMAGE
Apelsinfromage
Another 70s recipe! :-D
4 servings
4 gelatin sheets = 2 teaspoons powdered gelatin
2 eggs
3 tablespoons sugar
grated zest from 1 orange
juice from 3 oranges, approx 2/3 cup
¾ cup heavy cream
Decoration:
orange slices
whipped cream
Soak the gelatin in cold water for about 30 minutes. Beat eggs and sugar until really fluffy, preferably with an electric beater. Add orange zest and juice. Squeeze out most of the water from the gelatin, then melt it in a saucepan on low heat and beat it into the egg batter. Allow the mixture to thicken, but not set.
Beat the cream and stir it into the fromage. Spoon it up in serving glasses and allow to set in a cold place. Decorate with sliced oranges and some whipped cream before serving.
Enjoy!
