Chive patties - Gräslöksbiffar

CHIVE PATTIES
Gräslöksbiffar

Rich ground meat patties with a lovely taste of herbs. Decorate with chives, it both tastes and looks good!

4 servings

14 oz ground meat (50% beef,
50% pork)
½ teaspoon salt
white pepper
¼ teaspoon dried sage
¼ teaspoon dried thyme
¼ teaspoon dried marjoram
¼ teaspoon dried rosemary
1/3 cup chopped chives or spring onions
1 egg white
1/3 cup dried breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon oil
¾ cup vegetable bouillon
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons Maizena
1 tablespoon water

Decoration:
chopped chives

Mix the ground meat with salt and spices. Blend 3 tablespoons chives, egg white and dried breadcrumbs into the meat and shape into 4 patties. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the patties on both sides until done. Put them on a serving plate and keep warm.

Sprinkle remaining chives in the pan and sizzle for a minute or so. Add bouillon, mustard and Maizena stirred with water. Boil for a couple of minutes. Flavour to taste with salt and pepper. Pour the sauce over the ground meat patties, decorate with chives and serve.
