GRILLED GROUND MEAT PATTIES
Grillade färsbiffar
1 egg
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons finely chopped green sweet pepper
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon mild chili sauce
2 tablespoons cream, 15% fat
1 tablespoon Maizena
1 to 1½ teaspoons salt
white pepper
¼ cup water
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
a few drops Tabasco
Blend together all ingredients for the sauce.

The patties are given an extra delicious flavour
from the spicy grill sauce. Make a larger batch of the sauce to have enough to
serve with the patties as well.

1 to 1 1/3 lbs ground meat
(I prefer 50% beef, 50% pork)1 egg

Grill sauce:
1/3 cup mild chili sauce¼ cup water
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
a few drops Tabasco
Mix ground meat, egg and onions in a bowl. Add sweet
pepper, soy sauce and chili sauce. Blend together cream and Maizena and stir
this into the meat. Flavour with salt and pepper. Shape into 4 even-sized
patties and put them on a rack with a pan beneath. Brush them with the
sauce and grill the patties in total 12
to 15 minutes. Turn them occasionally, the time depends on how well done you
like them.
Serve with potatoes and grilled tomatoes or a salad,
or in a hamburger bun with salad and dressing.
