Salmon with a Creamy Herbal Sauce - Lax i örtig gräddsås

SALMON WITH A CREAMY HERBAL SAUCE
Lax i örtig gräddsås

Serves 2

2 pieces of salmon fillet (in Sweden one piece weighs almost 4.5 oz)
½ onion
1 garlic clove
½ tablespoon butter or margarine
salt, black pepper
0.2 cup white wine
0.4 cup cream, 15% fat or the like
0.2 cup water
½ fish bouillon cube
0.2 cup chopped fresh herbs like
tarragon, rosemary, thyme and oregano

For serving:
boiled rice
sugar peas


Peel, chop and fry onions, finely grated garlic and quartered mushrooms (no, they haven't been hung and drawn first) in some fat in a sautée pan. Flavor with salt and pepper. Add wine, cream and water, crumble the bouillon cube on top and bring to a boil. Add the fish, cover with a lid and simmer for about 5 minutes. Last, add the chopped herbs and stir gently.

Serve with boiled rice and lightly boiled sugar peas.
