Fried Apples with Caramel Sauce - Stekta äpplen med kolasås

FRIED APPLES WITH CARAMEL SAUCE
Stekta äpplen med kolasås

A good caramel sauce is made in just 5 minutes. You can also serve it with lingonberries mixed with whipped cream.

Serves 4

3 apples
2 tablespoons + 1 3/4 oz butter or margarine
1 tablespoon + 0.4 cup sugar
0.4 + 0.8 cup heavy cream
0.4 cup light-colored molasses/treacle


Core and cut the apples in wedges. Fry them in 2 tablespoons fat and 1 tablespoon sugar in a frying pan for about 2 minutes.

Mix 0.4 cup cream, treacle and 0.4 cup sugar in a saucepan and boil on low heat for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the fat.

Beat 0.8 cup cream and serve the apple wedges warm with caramel sauce and cream.
