ORANGE GLAZED MEAT LOAF
Apelsinglaserad färslimpa
2 slices white loaf bread
1/3 cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
white pepper
coarsely ground black pepper
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon Maizena
Finely dice the ham and mix it with the ground meat in a bowl. Crumble the bread and let it swell in the milk for a couple of minutes. Mix the meat with egg, salt, white pepper and bread. Shape to a loaf, put it in an oven-proof dish and sprinkle with black pepper.

A festive version of the everyday meatloaf – the
ground meat is mixed with small pieces of smoked ham which gives an extra
delicious flavour, and the orange glaze makes it festive.
4 servings
3½ oz smoked ham
14 oz ground pork or 50% beef, 50% pork2 slices white loaf bread
1/3 cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
white pepper

Orange glaze:
fresh juice from 1 orange2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon Maizena
Decoration:

Mix orange juice, brown sugar and Maizena in a
saucepan and boil while stirring until it thickens.
Put the meat loaf in the middle of the oven at 350F for 50 to 60 minutes. Brush occasionally with the glazing,
decorate with orange slices and serve the meat loaf cut in slices with mashed
potatoes, pickled gherkin and a green salad with a mustard dressing.
