This recipe gives you suggestions for two different
varieties of sandwiches, one with tuna filling and one with crab filling. Serve
with a glass of sparkling wine.
10 to 12 tuna sandwiches
10 to 12 slices white loaf bread
5 to 6 lettuce leaves1 can tuna in water, approx 6 oz
½ onion
2/3 cup mayonnaise

10 to 12 slices white loaf bread
5 to 6 lettuce leaves1 can salad crab, approx 6 oz
2 hard-boiled eggs
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 sprigs chopped dill
salt

How to make the tuna sandwiches:
Toast the bread. Put lettuce leaves on half of them.
Drain the tuna well and chop the onion. Mix tuna, onion and mayonnaise in a
bowl and flavour with salt and pepper. Divide the filling on the bread slices
with lettuce leaves on. Put remaining slices on top, then cut the bread into
triangles. Decorate the sandwiches.
Toast the bread. Put lettuce leaves on half of them.
Drain the crab well and chop the eggs. Mix crab, eggs, mayonnaise, chopped dill
and salt. Divide the filling on the bread slices with lettuce leaves on. Put
remaining slices on top, then cut the bread into triangles. Decorate the
sandwiches.
