SHREDDED BEEF IN TOMATO SAUCE
Strimlad biff i tomatsås
8 cherry tomatoes
3 tablespoons oil
1 cup mild chili sauce
4 tablespoons red wine or meat bouillon
3 tablespoons fresh basil or 1½ teaspoon dried basil
3 tablespoons chopped parsley
2 crushed garlic cloves
1½ teaspoons herbal salt
1 teaspoon sugar
black pepper
cayenne
Shred the meat, chop the onion and split the
tomatoes. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a frying pan and brown the meat until coloured.
Take it up and keep warm. Heat remaining oil in the pan and sizzle the onion
for a few minutes. Add chili sauce, wine or bouillon, basil, parsley, garlic,
herbal salt, sugar, black pepper and cayenne and simmer slowly for about 10
minutes. Add tomatoes and meat and simmer for another 5 minutes or until the
meat is ready.

I suppose you can tell from many of my recipes that
I really do love tomato sauce. If you use a really tender piece of meat, you
can have this dish ready in about half an hour.
4 servings
1 1/3 lbs flank steak or roast beef
½ onion8 cherry tomatoes
3 tablespoons oil
1 cup mild chili sauce
4 tablespoons red wine or meat bouillon
3 tablespoons fresh basil or 1½ teaspoon dried basil
3 tablespoons chopped parsley
2 crushed garlic cloves
1½ teaspoons herbal salt
1 teaspoon sugar
black pepper
cayenne
Flavour to taste and add more spices if needed.
Serve with e.g. pasta, Parmesan cheese and a salad.
