STRAWBERRY TOSCA CAKE

1 cup flour
3½ oz butter or margarine
1/3 cup almonds
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon cream
½ lb sliced frozen or fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon Swedish sweet arrack punsch
or liqueur
Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy. Add flour and melted fat. Pour the batter in a well greased and floured baking pan. Bake at 350F for about 25 minutes until the cake is only just baked.

1 ¾ oz butter or margarine1/3 cup almonds

Filling:
¾ cup thick Cream½ lb sliced frozen or fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon Swedish sweet arrack punsch
or liqueur
Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy. Add flour and melted fat. Pour the batter in a well greased and floured baking pan. Bake at 350F for about 25 minutes until the cake is only just baked.
Scald and split the almonds for the tosca. Mix all
ingredients in a saucepan and simmer while stirring. Take out the cake and
spread with the tosca. Bake for another 10 minutes or so, until the tosca is
glossy and caramel coloured.
Split the cake in two layers and put whipped cream
flavoured with sliced strawberries and some punsch or liqueur in between. This
cake is a lovely dessert served with a cup of coffee.
