CHICKEN
BEER PAN
Kycklingpanna med öl
1 middle-sized chopped red onion
1/3 cup chopped celery
2 crushed garlic cloves
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon white pepper
½ chicken bouillon cube
1 bottle of beer, approx 1 ¼ cups
Wipe off the chicken pieces, melt the fat in a frying
pot and brown the chicken on all sides. Add onion, celery, garlic, salt and
pepper, crumble the bouillon cube into the pot and pour on the beer. Cover and
simmer slowly for 30 minutes or until the chicken is done. Sprinkle with
chopped celery and serve.

The chicken is juicy and gets a piquante, slightly different
taste when simmered in beer. It’s especially good with bread.

1 chicken in pieces, approx 2 lbs, or 2 lbs chicken parts
2 tablespoons butter or margarine1 middle-sized chopped red onion
