French-style chicken - Kyckling på franskt vis

FRENCH-STYLE CHICKEN
Kyckling på franskt vis

Cut a chicken in pieces and fry it in the oven with a sauce tasting of wine and apricots. It couldn’t get easier or better or anything!

4 servings

1 chicken, approx 2 lbs,  or 2 lbs chicken parts
1 crushed garlic clove
cayenne
1/3 cup apricot marmalade
¾ cup red wine or meat bouillon
2 tablespoons Maizena
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried rosemary

fresh rosemary or parsley for decoration

For serving:
boiled rice, baguette and a salad with
rosé lettuce and fresh spinach


Cut the chicken in pieces and rub them with garlic and cayenne. Put them in an oven-proof dish, skinside up, and heat the oven to 350F.

Mix apricot marmalade, wine, Maizena, brown sugar, lemon juice, salt and rosemary. Pour it all over the chicken and fry in the middle of the oven for about 50 minutes or until done. Decorate with rosemary or parsley and serve the chicken.
