GRETA’S STEW
Gretas gryta
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
½ green bell pepper
½ red bell pepper
½ yellow bell pepper
2 tomatoes
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon paprika
nutmeg
2/3 cup water
½ meat bouillon cube
5 to 6 oz green beans
Dice the meat and put it in a bowl. Mix soy sauce,
thyme and rosemary, pour the marinade over the meat and leave it for about 30
minutes.
Gretas gryta
A colourful pork stew with a rich taste of bell peppers, suitable as an everyday dish or a festive dish, whichever you want it
to be. Boiled rice, a salad and bread go with it.

1 lb boneless pork
2 tablespoons Chinese soy sauce1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
½ green bell pepper
½ red bell pepper
½ yellow bell pepper
2 tomatoes
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon paprika
nutmeg
2/3 cup water
½ meat bouillon cube
5 to 6 oz green beans
Finely dice sweet peppers and tomatoes. Melt the fat
in a frying pot and brown the meat until it’s coloured. Sprinkle with salt,
pepper, paprika and nutmeg. Add water and bouillon cube, cover with a lid and
cook for 30 minutes or so. Blend in the sweet peppers and tomatoes and let
simmer for another 30 minutes. Add the beans when approx 10 minutes remain.
Flavour to taste and add more spices if necessary.
Serve the casserole.
