CHICKEN
Gästabudskyckling
3 tablespoons chopped red onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon paprika
1 can whole tomatoes, 14 oz
2 bay leaves
½ chicken bouillon cube
2/3 cup cream, 15% fat
2 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons water

Cut the chicken in pieces and wipe them off. Melt the fat in a saucepan and brown the chicken on all sides until coloured. Transfer them to an oven-proof dish. Sizzle the onions in the pan for a few minutes and put it in the dish. Sprinkle with salt, thyme and paprika, add the tomatoes and bay leaves and fry the chicken in the middle of the oven at 350F for 40 minutes or until done.

lookout for when chicken and tomatoes are sold at reduced prices, and you can
make a cheap and excellent chicken dish.

Pour the
tomato liquid from the chicken in a saucepan and keep the chicken warm. Add
bouillon cube and cream. Stir the flour with the water and thicken the sauce. Let
it boil for a few minutes. Flavour to taste and add more spices if necessary.
Pour the
sauce over the chicken, sprinkle with shredded sweet peppers and parsley and
serve the thicken.
