Hearty beef casserole - Mustig biffgryta

HEARTY BEEF CASSEROLE
Mustig biffgryta

A perfect dish when you are in a hurry. It’s ready in a few minutes but tastes like it has simmered slowly the whole day.

4 servings

1 tablespoon butter or margarine
14 oz thinly shredded beef, roast beef or thick flank
1 large onion, sliced
½ can crushed tomatoes weighing 14 oz
1/3 cup meat bouillon (from cube)
1 tablespoon chili sauce
salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 garlic clove
8 oz fresh or frozen green beans

Heat up the oil in a large pan. Put in the meat, brown and stir for about 4 minutes. Take up the meat and put it on a plate. Put the onion in the pan and sautée until golden. Add the tomatoes, bouillon, chili sauce, salt and pepper. Crush the garlic and blend it in. Let simmer for 3 minutes.

Put the meat back in the pan and add the green beans. Boil for about 5 minutes and serve with pasta, preferably with a tossed salad.
