MACARONI WITH CHEESE SAUCE
Makaroner med ostsås
1 onion
1 garlic clove
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 cup cream, 15% fat
1 beefsteak tomato
3½ oz Emmenthaler cheese
5 oz fresh Parmesan cheese
pepper
pinch grated cheese
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
Bring lots of lightly salted water and boil the
macaroni according to package instructions. Peel and finely chop the onion and
also peel the garlic. Heat up the fat in a saucepan and sautée onion and
crushed garlic. Pour on the cream, bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
Makaroner med ostsås
A favourite from the Italian kitchen: creamy cheese,
juicy tomatoes and macaroni al dente. A given success!

14 oz macaroni
water, salt1 onion
1 garlic clove
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 cup cream, 15% fat
1 beefsteak tomato
3½ oz Emmenthaler cheese
5 oz fresh Parmesan cheese
pepper
pinch grated cheese
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
Rinse the tomato and dice it. Grate the cheeses and
blend them into the cream sauce. Let the cheese melt on low heat while stirring.
Flavour the sauce generously with salt, pepper, grated nutmeg and thyme.
Drain the macaroni and blend them with sauce and
tomatoes in a bowl. Serve immediately with a tossed salad.
