Shredded beef in chili sauce - Biffstrimlor i chilisås

SHREDDED BEEF IN CHILI SAUCE
Biffstrimlor i chilisås

A Lovely, easy-to-make dish like this one is always appreciated. Choose a tender piece of meat that doesn’t take so long to be done.

4 servings

14 oz to 1 lb thick flank or roast beef
2 spring onions or 1 onion
6 oz fresh or frozen sugar peas or green beans
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/3 cup meat bouillon
1/3 cup chili sauce (I prefer a milder type myself)
salt, white pepper

Shred the meat, chop the spring onions and cut the sugar peas or beans in pieces. Heat up half of the fat in a frying pan and brown the meat until coloured and done to your liking. Put it on a plate and keep warm.

Heat up remaining fat in the pan and brown the onions for a couple of minutes. Add bouillon and chili sauce, stir in peas or beans and simmer for a few minutes until the peas are tender. Flavour to taste with salt and pepper. Put the meat back in the pan and boil for just a few minutes until all is heated through. Serve with pasta, rice or potatoes and a salad.

Enjoy!
