Spicy honey pork wok - Kryddig fläskwok med honung

SPICY HONEY PORK WOK
Kryddig fläskwok med honung

This sweet and spicy pork wok with pepper and honey is a real top dish – delicious and easy to make.

4 servings

1 lb fillet of pork
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 chopped garlic cloves
1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger
4 spring onions, cut in about 1 inch pieces
3 tablespoons honey
¾ cup chicken bouillon
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Wrap the pork up in plastic foil and put it in the freezer for 1 hour, until the meat is firm to the touch without being deep frozen – it makes it easier to cut it in thin slices. Heat up 1 tablespoon oil on high heat in a wok or a heavy-bottomed frying pan. Wok half of the meat for 2 minutes until browned all around. Transfer the meat to a bowl. Heat up another tablespoon oil and wok remaining meat. Transfer that to the bowl as well. Heat up remaining oil and wok the garlic, ginger and spring onions for 1 minute.

Add honey, bouillon and pepper and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce has thickened. Put the meat back in the pan and stir, so that it’s blended with the sauce and heated through. Remove from heat and serve immediately with rice or rice noodles.

Enjoy!

Bella
