Sunday pears - Söndagspäron

SUNDAY PEARS
Söndagspäron

A quick dessert, and it can be even quicker if you use canned pears.

4 servings

4 firm pears
3 cups water
¾ cup sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla sugar
2½ oz mint-flavoured chocolate
3 tablespoons cream, 15% fat
1 tablespoon sugar
1/3 cup whipping cream

Decoration:
fresh mint or lemon balm leaves


Peel, split and core the pears. Bring water, sugar and vanilla sugar to a boil and boil the pears for about 20 minutes until tender. Allow to cool in the syrup. Break the chocolate in pieces and put it in a saucepan. Add cream and sugar and heat on low heat until the chocolate has melted, then allow to cool completely.

Beat the cream until thick and blend it into the cold chocolate mixture. Serve the pears in small bowls, dab on the mint chocolate cream and decorate with mint or lemon balm. Serve the dessert.
