CHARLIE’S CHICKEN
Charlies kyckling
4 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2/3 cup mild chili sauce
4 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
salt
1 crushed garlic clove
a few drops Red Hot Sauce or tabasco
Cut the chicken in pieces and wipe them off. Put them in an oven-proof dish.
Brush the chicken with the sauce and bake in the middle of the oven at 390 to 440F for about 40 minutes or until done. Brush occasionally with the sauce and serve with boiled rice, fried tomatoes and a salad.

The spicy, hearty sauce gives the chicken a real kick.

1 chicken, approx 2 lbs, or 2 lbs chicken parts
Sauce:
3 tablespoons butter or margarine4 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2/3 cup mild chili sauce
4 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
salt
1 crushed garlic clove
a few drops Red Hot Sauce or tabasco

Melt the fat in a saucepan and sizzle the onion for a
few minutes. Add chili sauce, brown sugar, mustard, water, vinegar,
Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic and Red Hot Sauce or tabasco. Boil it all
for a few minutes. Brush the chicken with the sauce and bake in the middle of the oven at 390 to 440F for about 40 minutes or until done. Brush occasionally with the sauce and serve with boiled rice, fried tomatoes and a salad.
