MAGIC RED CABBAGE
Magisk rödkål
1 garlic clove
1 tablespoon mustard seeds
¼ cup coarsely chopped dill
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/3 cup vegetable bouillon
Trim and finely shred the red
cabbage. Heat up the oil in a large frying pan or a wok pan on medium heat.
Crush and add the garlic, add mustard seeds and sauté for about 5 minutes until
the mustard seeds start to “pop”. Add the red cabbage and the chopped dill and
fry/wok for about 1 minute. Add vinegar and bouillon and bring to a boil. Put a
lid on and lower the heat, then simmer slowly for about 20 minutes until the
cabbage is tender.
Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Magisk rödkål
This is an excellent way to serve
cabbage! It makes a very good accompaniment with (to? Prepositions in English –
or any language – are an abomination!) barbecued meat.
