GRILLED PORK CHOPS WITH STRAWBERRY SALSA
Grillad kotlett med jordgubbssalsa
Serves 4
4 pork chops
salt, pepper
Marinade:
1 tablespoon Japanese soy sauce
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon grated ginger
Salsa:
8.8 oz strawberries
2 spring onions
1 tablespoon white molasses
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
salt, black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
Marinade:
Mix soy sauce, oil and ginger in a plastic bag, put the pork chops in the marinade and rub it in. Seal the bag and leave to marinate for about 30 minutes. Take them up and grill in a hot pan for about 3 minutes on each side. Flavor with salt and pepper while grilling.
Salsa:
Rinse and trim the strawberries. Dice them small and put them in a bowl. Slice the spring onions and mix with the strawberries, together with molasses, lemon juice, salt, pepper and basil.
Serve the salsa with the freshly grilled pork chops and also rice or potatoes or what you like.
