ORANGE CAKE WITH WALNUTS
Apelsinkaka med valnötter

10.6 oz butter
2.4 cups sugar
8 eggs
3.2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1.2 cup soured cream
grated zest from 2 oranges
0.2 cup fresh orange juice
4.4 oz walnuts
Icing:
2.8 cups powdered sugar
5 tablespoons fresh orange juice
walnuts
shredded orange peel
Preheat oven to 392F.
Beat room-tempered butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one by one. Mix flour and baking powder and stir into the batter together with soured cream, orange zest and juice. Roughly chop the walnuts and stir them into the batter. Spread out in a baking paper-lined roasting pan and bake in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes. Allow to cool.
Icing:
Stir together powdered sugar and orange juice and spread this over the cake. Allow to set. Cut in squares, then in triangles, and decorate with walnuts and shredded orange peel.
