COFFEE CAKE
Kaffekaka
10 pieces
7 oz butter
0.9 cup sugar
3 eggs
0.8 cup hazelnuts
2.6 oz dark chocolate
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sweet arrack punsch
or fresh orange juice
Icing:
0.6 cup powdered sugar
1½ teaspoons water
Preheat oven to 347F.
Stir room-tempered butter with sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, one by one, while beating. Finely chop the hazelnuts and chop the chocolate a little rougher. Mix nuts, chocolate, flour and baking powder and stir into the batter together with the punsch or orange juice. Pour the batter in a greased, floured baking pan, capacity 6 cups. Bake in the lower part of the oven for 1 hour. Allow to cool.
Icing:
Stir powdered sugar and water and drizzle the icing over the cake.
