HOT SCHNITZELS
Heta schnitzlar
Serves 4
6 slices boneless ham,
in all approx 1 lb 5 oz
½ onion
½ spicy sausage, like those
thin ones that are often
served with beer
3 teaspoons sweet chili sauce
Decoration:
tomatoes
fresh oregano
Peel and finely chop the onion. Sauté until tender and glossy in some fat. Thinly slice the sausage. Flatten the sliced meat lightly with your hand and flavor with salt and pepper. Divide onion, sausage and sweet chili sauce on half of each schnitzel. Fold them up and secure with toothpicks. Fry the schnitzels until golden, 3 to 4 minutes on each side, in some fat.
Take them up and decorate with tomatoes and oregano. Serve with boiled rice mixed with vegetables and some extra sweet chili sauce.
