Prairie Steaks - Präriebiff

PRAIRIE STEAKS
Präriebiff

Serves approx 4

4 slices top round, in all
approx 1.1 lbs
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
some salt and pepper

For serving:
½ green and ½ red pepper
1 large onion
3½ tablespoons chili sauce
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese


Cut onion and bell pepper in rings. If you place the onion in cold water, it becomes crisp and milder in taste.) Melt the butter in a hot frying pan. Fry the steaks for about 30 seconds on each side. Flavor with salt and pepper and place the steaks on a warm serving plate.

Put onion, bell pepper, chili sauce and cheese on the steaks and serve immediately with fries or other fried potatoes and, of course, a salad.
