SAUSAGE AU GRATIN WITH MUSTARD SAUCE
Korvgratäng med senapssås
Serves 3 to 4
½ squash, sliced
2 large tomatoes, sliced
1 red onion, sliced
10.6 oz Falu sausage or
equivalent, sliced
1 teaspoon butter
0.8 cup grated cheese
Sauce:
0.8 cup cream
1 tablespoon French mustard
2 teaspoons Maizena
some salt
some white pepper
Decoration:
2 tablespoons chopped chives
Preheat oven to 482F.
Grease an oven-proof pan with butter. Alternate squash, tomatoes, red onion and sausage in the pan. Boil cream, mustard and Maizena for the sauce while stirring. Flavor to taste with salt and pepper and pour the sauce over the sausage. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Decorate with chives.
Serve with mashed potatoes with parsley and a salad.
