SWISS HAM ROLLS

Serves approx 4
1.1 lb ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
some pepper
0.6 cup grated cheese
2 eggs
3 tablespoons chopped chives
8 slices smoked ham
1.2 cups heavy cream
0.2 cup chili sauce
3 tablespoons dry sherry
salt, black pepper
Preheat oven to 392F.
Work the ground meat together with salt, pepper, grated cheese, eggs and chives. Spread out the sliced ham and divide the ground meat onto them. Roll up and place in a greased, oven-proof pan, seamside down.
Stir the cream with chili sauce and sherry and flavor to taste with salt and pepper. Pour the sauce over the rolls and sprinkle with some rosé pepper. Cook in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes. Baste a few times during cooking.
Serve with any potatoes and a salad.
