Apple Cake with White Chocolate - Äppelkaka med vit choklad

APPLE CAKE WITH WHITE CHOCOLATE
Äppelkaka med vit choklad

1 cake, 10 pieces

4.4 oz butter
3½ oz white chocolate
3 eggs
0.8 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
3 apples

Tosca:
1.7 oz butter
0.4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon regular milk
2 tablespoons white molasses
3½ oz roughly chopped nuts
(hazelnuts or walnuts)


Preheat oven to 347F.

Brown the butter in a saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate in pieces. Stir until melted. Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy. Stir in the butter and flour mixed with baking powder and vanilla sugar. Pour the batter in a greased springform pan, diameter approx 9 inches. 

Peel, core and slice the apples in thin wedges. Put them over the surface and bake for about 30 minutes. 

Tosca:
Mix butter, sugar, flour, milk, molasses and chopped nuts in a saucepan. Heat while stirring.

Take out the cake and spoon the tosca over it. Bake for about 15 minutes until the cake is nicely colored and done (try with a tester). Cover with aluminum foil if the cake gets too dark.
