FRENCH BEEF PAN

Serves approx 4
1.1 lbs boneless beef, top round
or roast beef
2½ slices side of pork, approx 3½ oz
1 onion
2 carrots
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon thyme
some black pepper
0.8 cup creme fraiche
1 tablespoon concentrated veal fond
1 teaspoon Chinese soy sauce
0.6 cup water
Shred beef and pork. Peel and thinly slice the onion and peel and slice the carrots. Sauté carrots and onion in some butter in a frying pan. Take it up and brown beef and pork. Flavor with salt and pepper and thyme. Add creme fraiche, water, veal fond and soy sauce. Bring to a boil and add vegetables. Simmer it all over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Flavor to taste and serve.
