CHOCOLATE JAM CUTS

2 cups flour
1/4 cup finely chopped nuts
¾ tablespoon cocoa powder
½ to ¾ tablespoon water
Heat the oven to 350F.

Lovely cookies no matter the occasion!
Makes approx 26 cookies
7 oz butter or margarine
1/3 cup cane sugar2 cups flour
1/4 cup finely chopped nuts
¾ tablespoon cocoa powder
Filling:
approx 2 tablespoons jam, e.g. raspberry
Glaze:
1/3 cup powdered sugar½ to ¾ tablespoon water
Heat the oven to 350F.
Stir fat, cane sugar and flour, preferably
in a food processor, to a dough – do not overwork it. Split the dough in two
and flavour one part with chopped nuts and the other with cocoa. Roll out each
dough into two sausages, as long as the baking plate. Put a nut dough on top of
a chocolate dough and make a “dent” alongside the sausage.
Filling: Fill the “dent” with jam and bake in the
oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
Glaze: Mix powdered sugar and water and spread it on
the cookies after baking.
