Chinese beef in oyster sauce - Kinesisk biff i ostronsås (retro)

CHINESE BEEF IN OYSTER SAUCE
Kinesisk biff i ostronsås

4 servings

1 lb sliced boneless beef

Marinade:
1 tablespoon Chinese soy sauce
1 tablespoon sherry
½ crushed garlic clove
1 egg white
½ tablespoon Maizena

For frying:
oil
1 onion
2 red and 2 green bell peppers
½ crushed garlic clove
4 tablespoons oyster sauce
salt, white pepper
1 to 2 tablespoons sherry


Cut the meat in thin shreads, approx 4 cm long. Gently beat together the marinade, pour this over the meat and store cool for about 1 hour. Fry the meat in 1 to 2 tablespoons hot oil for a few minutes, then remove from heat.

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pot, add onions and sweet peppers cut in rings and fry for a minute while stirring. Add the meat, remaining marinade, crushed garlic and oyster sauce and blend well. Heat through and flavour to taste with salt, pepper and sherry.

Serve with boiled rice.
