DANISH COBBLER'S PAN
Dansk skomakarlåda

Serves 2

0.2 cup milk
2 tablespoons dried breadcrumbs
10.6 oz ground beef
1 egg
salt, pepper
a 4-inch piece of leek
3½ oz streaky bacon
1 tablespoon butter or margarine

For serving:
mashed potatoes
salad


Mix milk and breadcrumbs in a bowl and add ground beef, egg, salt and pepper. Shape the batter to 4 patties and fry them in butter in a frying pan, about 3 minutes on each side.

Rinse and slice the leek and shred the bacon. Fry for a few minutes and serve with the patties together with mashed potatoes and a salad.
