GRILLED SIRLOIN STEAKS WITH
WARM TOMATO CAPER SALSA
Grillad ryggbiff med varm tomat- och kaprissalsa
Serves 2
2 sirloin steaks
salt, pepper
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Potato wedges:
6 potatoes
1 tablespoon oil
salt
Tomato caper salsa:
8 cherry tomatoes
2 spring onions
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon honey
2 tablespoons capers
salt, pepper
For serving:
boiled broccoli and cauliflower
Preheat oven to 437F.
The meat should be room-tempered when cooking. Flavor with salt and pepper just before cooking. Heat a frying pan with the butter and fry the steaks for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
Potatoes:
Peel the potatoes and cut them in wedges, then place them in an oven-proof pan. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt. Cook the potatoes in the oven for about 20 minutes.
Tomato caper salsa:
Cut the tomatoes in wedges and slice the spring onions. Sauté onions and tomatoes in oil in the frying pan for a couple of minutes. Add vinegar, honey and capers and "swing" them around in the pan. Flavor with salt and pepper. Spoon the salsa over the grilled steaks when serving with potatoes and boiled broccoli and cauliflower.
Enjoy!
