GROUND MEAT PATTIES WITH RICH SAUCE
Köttfärsbiffar med smakrik sås
Serves 4
1.1 lb ground beef or beef + pork
1 teaspoon salt
some pepper
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 egg
1 tablespoon potato starch
0.4 cup regular milk
1 tablespoon butter
Sauce:
0.8 cup cream
0.8 cup water
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons concentrated veal fond
1 tablespoon Chinese soy sauce
1 teaspoon sambal oelek
Mix the ground meat with the other ingredients and shape into 8 patties. Fry for about 4 minutes on each side.
Mix all ingredients for the sauce in a saucepan. Bring to a boil while stirring and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour the sauce around the patties in the frying pan and simmer until cooked through.
Serve with boiled potatoes and broccoli or some other boiled vegetable.
