Sunday cake with nuts - Söndagstårta med nötter (retro)

SUNDAY CAKE WITH NUTS
Söndagstårta med nötter

A lovely cake, suitable for a weekend gathering around a Swedish coffee table!

1 cake

3½ oz butter or margarine
3 tablespoons sugar
¾ cup flour
2/3 cup oats

Filling and decoration:
1 ¼ cups heavy cream
1/3 cup ground hazelnuts or walnuts
frozen raspberries
walnuts


Stir fat, sugar, flour and oats to a smooth dough, that you split in two and flatten out to two circles. Put them on a greased baking plate and bake at 350F for about 15 minutes.

Beat the cream and flavour it with the ground nuts. At the last moment, put the two cold layers together with half of the cream in between. Spread remaining cream on top. Decorate with raspberries and a ring of walnuts.
