APPLE TOSCA

1 cake, 10 pieces
3½ oz butter
2 eggs
0.6 cup sugar
½ cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
2 apples
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Tosca:
1,7 oz butter
0.3 cup sugar
1,7 oz flaked almonds
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon regular milk
Preheat oven to 345F.
Melt the butter and cool. Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy. Mix flour, baking powder and vanilla sugar and stir this into the batter together with melted butter. Pour this into a greased, floured baking pan, diameter approx 9 inches, preferably a springform pan.
Core, split and cut the apples in thin wedges. Distribute the wedges over the surface and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake in the lower part of the oven for about 25 minutes. Take it out and turn up the heat to 390F.
Tosca:
Melt butter and sugar in a saucepan. Stir in the flour and flaked almonds, add milk and heat while stirring. Gently spoon the tosca mixture over the cake and bake for about 10 minutes.
