GROUND MEAT AND BACON ROLLS IN TOMATO SAUCE

Serves 4
1.1 lb ground meat (beef + pork)
5 oz streaky bacon
salt, ground black pepper
1 can whole, peeled tomatoes, 14 oz
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 large onion
1 ball mozzarella cheese
2 parsley sprigs
Preheat oven to 437F.
Cut the bacon slices in two. Shape the meat into larger meatballs and wrap each meatball up in ½ slice bacon. Flavor with some salt and ground black pepper. Pour the tomatoes in a saucepan and add tomato paste. Bring to a boil and flavor to taste with salt and pepper.
Cut the onion in pieces of approx 3/4 x 3/4 inches and blend in the tomatoes. Pour onions and tomato sauce in an oven-proof pan. Put the bacon rolls in the tomato sauce. Grate the mozzarella cheese and spread it out on top. Put in the oven and cook for about 20 minutes.
Chop the parsley and sprinkle the surface with it. Serve with a salad.
