Bell Pepper Steaks - Paprikabiffar

BELL PEPPER STEAKS

Steak and onions is one of the Swedish food favorites. If you want some variation, you can try to mix the onions with shredded bell peppers and spices. Use both red and green bell peppers, it's nice with the colors!

4 servings

1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
3 onions
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
0.4 cup bouillon 
1 teaspoon marjoram
some celery salt
2 to 3 tablespoons cream of your choice
4 beef steaks, in all 10 oz to 1 lb
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 teaspoon salt
some white pepper or paprika


Rinse and split the bell peppers and carefully remove all the seeds. Shred them. Peel and slice the onions. Simmer bell peppers and onions in some fat and bouillon on low heat in a saucepan for about 15 minutes. Flavor with marjoram and celery salt, add cream and stir.

Flatten out the steaks with your hand and fry them in some fat in a frying pan, about 3 minutes on each side. Flavor with salt and pepper or paprika. Put the steaks on a hot serving plate, pour the hot bell pepper onion mix on top and serve right away with potatoes and a salad.
