Sunday Patties - Söndagsbiffar

SUNDAY PATTIES
Söndagsbiffar

Serves 4 to 5

1 lb ground beef or 50/50 beef/pork
1½ teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons whole green peppercorns, lightly crushed
1 small, very finely chopped onion
1 egg yolk
7 oz fresh mushrooms
butter or margarine
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
0.6 to 0.8 cup heavy cream


Mix the ground meat with salt, half of the peppercorns plus onion and egg yolk. Clean and cut larger mushrooms in pieces. Shape the meat to 8 patties and fry them in some fat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Put them on a warm serving plate and cover with aluminum foil.

Clean the frying pan. Put some fat in it and brown the mushrooms. Sprinkle with remaining green pepper and pour on lemon juice and cream. Flavor to taste with salt. Boil for a few minutes. Pour the sauce over the patties and serve with boiled potatoes and a salad.
