COD WRAPPED IN BACON WITH EGG SAUCE
Baconlindad torsk med äggsås
Serves 4
1 garlic clove
1½ lbs fillet of cod in 4 pieces
2 dill sprigs
4 slices streaky bacon
ground black pepper
Egg sauce:
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons flour
1.6 cups creamy milk
½ fish bouillon cube
salt, white pepper
2 boiled eggs
Peel the garlic, cut in very thin slices and sprinkle them over the fish together with dill sprigs. Save some for decoration. Wrap a bacon slice around each piece of fish and flavor with some ground black pepper.
Sauce:
Melt the butter in a saucepan and sift with flour. Then add creamy milk and bouillon cube. Bring to a boil while stirring continuously with a beater. Simmer slowly for 8 to 10 minutes without burning it to the bottom of the saucepan. Flavor to taste with salt and ground white pepper. Roughly chop the eggs and add them to the sauce.
Fry the fish in a frying pan so that the bacon around them takes color. Turn them over and put them in the oven at 437F for 7 to 8 minutes.
Serve the fish with the egg sauce, some fresh dill, boiled potatoes and green peas.
Enjoy!
Bella
