Kassler Stew with Curry and Chili - Kasslergryta med curry och chili

KASSLER STEW WITH CURRY AND CHILI
Kasslergryta med curry och chili

Serves 4

14 oz kassler (see info on kassler in an info post
somewhere in this blog, where I talk about some
of the more uncommon ingredients outside Sweden)
1 onion
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon curry
2 tablespoons flour
2 garlic cloves
0.8 cup water
0.8 cup cream
0.4 cup chili sauce
1 teaspoon sambal oelek
½ teaspoon salt
some ground white pepper


Finely shred onion and kassler. Sauté the onion in butter until tender and add kassler and curry. Sift with flour and blend in. Add the crushed garlic. Add water, cream and chili sauce, blend together and bring to a boil. Add sambal oelek and flavor to taste with salt and pepper. 

Serve with rice and a salad. Decorate if you with with spring onions and red bell pepper.
