Steak with Redcurrant Sauce - Biff med vinbärssås

STEAK WITH REDCURRANT SAUCE
Biff med vinbärssås

Serves 4

4 slices beef steak, in all 1 1/3 lbs
butter or margarine
1 teaspoon salt
some black pepper
1.2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons redcurrant jelly
1 teaspoon Chinese soy sauce
0.4 cup fresh or frozen redcurrants


Fry the meat in some fat in a frying pan for 1½ to 2 minutes per side. Flavor with salt and pepper and take up the meat. Pour the cream in the pan and let it boil together for about 2 minutes. Flavor with redcurrant jelly and soy sauce, put the meat back in the sauce and heat through.

Serve with potato wedges and broccoli, and decorate with whole redcurrants.
