Ground Meat and Potatoes Au Gratin with Orange Salad - Köttfärs- och potatisgratäng med apelsinsallad

GROUND MEAT AND POTATOES AU GRATIN
WITH ORANGE SALAD
Köttfärs- och potatisgratäng med apelsinsallad

Serves 4

2 garlic cloves
1 onion
1.1 lb ground meat (beef + pork)
1 tablespoons oil
1 can crushed tomatoes, 14 oz
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon dried basil
or 0.4 cup fresh, chopped basil
1½ teaspoons salt
some pepper
1 lb 12 oz ready-made potatoes au gratin,
I'm sure you can get that, or home-made
5½ oz grated cheese
some paprika

Orange salad:
oranges
carrots


Peel and chop garlic and onion. Fry them in a frying pan and transfer to a pot. Fry the ground meat in the same frying pan with oil and add that to the pot. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste and basil and simmer for about 5 minutes. Flavor with salt and pepper.

Place the ground meat sauce in an oven-proof pan and top with the potatoes au gratin. Sprinkle with grated cheese and paprika and cook in the oven at 437F for about 15 minutes, until heated through. 

Decorate with basil and cherry tomatoes and serve with grated carrots mixed with oranges in pieces.
