Orange Tiger Cake - Tigerkaka med apelsin

ORANGE TIGER CAKE
Tigerkaka med apelsin

1 cake, 15 pieces

6 oz room-tempered butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1.4 cups flour
1½ teaspoon baking powder
0.4 cup cream
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons water
grated zest from 1 orange


Stir fat and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs one by one. Mix flour with baking powder and turn this into the batter, alternating with the cream. Mix cocoa and water and stir this into about 1/3 of the cake batter. Add orange zest to the remaining cake batter.

Dab some of the non-cocoa batter in a greased, floured baking pan, capacity approx 6 cups. Distribute the cocoa batter on top and then remaining non-cocoa batter. "Marble" the batter by rippling it with a fork.

Bake at 347F in the lower part of the oven for 50 to 60 minutes. Leave in the pan for a few minutes before unmoulding.
