QUICK AND EASY BEEF STEW WITH
ROSÉ PEPPER AND CREAM
Snabb köttgryta med rosépeppar och grädde
Serves 2
8.8 oz thinly sliced beef, "minute steaks"
½ tablespoon butter
1 shallot, chopped
1 garlic clove, grated
salt, pepper
0.8 cup water
1 tablespoon concentrated veal
or beef fond
0.4 cup cooking cream
1 teaspoon crushed rosé pepper
5 tablespoons cognac/brandy (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
For serving:
14 oz potatoes
salad
Boil the potatoes until tender in salted water.
Shred the meat and brown in butter in a hot frying pan. Lower the heat and add onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Add water and fond and simmer for 5 minutes. Add cream, rosé pepper, optional brandy and simmer for another minute. Top with parsley.
Serve with boiled potatoes and a salad.
