Chick Pea Patties with Carrot Tzatziki - Kikärtsbiffar med morotstzatziki

CHICK PEA PATTIES WITH CARROT TZATZIKI
Kikärtsbiffar med morotstzatziki

Easy to make and good to eat hot or cold. Make a double batch for bringing to work the next day.

Serves 4

1 can chick peas/garbanzos, approx 14 oz
0.4 cup milk
1 leek
1 tablespoon Maizena
1 bunch parsley
some butter or margarine

Carrot tzatziki:
0.8 cup Turkish yogurt, e.g. meze yogurt
2 carrots
1 garlic clove
1 teaspoon salt
some black pepper


Rinse the chick peas and drain them. Finely shred the leek. Mix chick peas to a slush and mix them with leek, parsley and milk to a batter that you flavor with salt and pepper. Shape to patties and fry them in a pan with some fat for a few minutes on each side.

Blend together all the ingredients for the tzatziki. Grate the carrots and crush the garlic first. Serve the patties with the tzatziki and boiled rice, mixed with lightly boiled vegetables, or however you like.
