GROUND MEAT WITH PASTA AND
TOMATO SAUCE
Stor köttfärsbiff med pasta och tomatsås
Serves 4
9½ oz dried pasta of your choice
4 tablespoons dried breadcrumbs
0.4 cup water
1.1 lb ground lamb or beef
1 egg
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1½ teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons butter
14 oz crushed tomatoes, if possible
flavored with basil
4½ oz ready-made pesto
Mix breadcrumbs and water and leave to swell for a few minutes. Mix with ground meat, egg, onions and salt and shape into one large round. Fry in butter in a frying pan slightly above medium heat, cut in 4 pieces and turn them over in the pan. Pour the tomatoes around the meat and put a lid on. Continue frying until cooked through, about 10 minutes.
Dab some pesto on each piece and serve with boiled pasta, broccoli and some grated cheese on top.
